A belt conveyor is a continuous transportation device that transports materials from the loading end to the unloading end via a conveyor belt. Its working process is as follows:
1. The drive unit starts, usually an electric motor, which provides power to the entire conveyor. After the motor rotates, the power is transmitted to the rollers through a transmission device, such as gears, chains, or belts. The rollers are the direct driving components of the conveyor belt movement and are usually located at both ends of the belt conveyor, i.e., the head and tail.
2. As the rollers rotate, the conveyor belt begins to move. The conveyor belt is a closed loop, made of rubber, plastic, or other materials, and has a certain strength and wear resistance. Material is placed on the conveyor belt from the loading end, and as the conveyor belt moves, the material begins to be transported forward.

3. During the conveying process, idlers support the conveyor belt. Idler rollers are a series of small rollers installed in the frame; they reduce the friction between the conveyor belt and the frame, maintaining the smooth operation of the conveyor belt. At the same time, tensioning devices ensure that the conveyor belt maintains a certain tension, preventing the conveyor belt from slack or deviating.
4. When the material reaches the unloading end, depending on the design, it can be unloaded from the conveyor belt by gravity, scraper, or other means. This completes one conveying cycle.
In general, the operation of a belt conveyor is a continuous and coordinated process involving the collaborative work of multiple components. Correct understanding and operation of the equipment can ensure efficient and stable material transport.
